Choosing either school will either lower your chances of admission or affect your studies, even if you end up being admitted.
Below are some things to think about before deciding on a university.
1- Verify that your school and program of study are both accredited.
When choosing an institution, this is the most important thing to consider. Some universities/schools provide courses that are not recognized by the National Universities Commission or other relevant agencies. As a result, make sure you complete your homework and enroll in a NUC-accredited institution or university. Otherwise, it looks like you're just wasting your time and resources.
2- School District (Catchment Area of The school):
Yes, catchment areas are also important. Being part of a school/university district can benefit you in the admissions process. For example, the UNILAG catchments are Lagos, Osun Oyo, Ekiti and Ogun. The boundaries of these catchments are always smaller than the merit boundaries. This does not mean that if you are not from the school district, you cannot apply for admission to college. Only candidates from these states benefit from catchment in the admissions process.

3- History of School/University Strikes:
Internal strikes, in addition to the typical ASUU and ASUP strikes, might impede academic activity and lengthen your stay at school. The same may be said for your research into whether or not the school you want to attend is prone to internal strikes.
4- the school admission requirements:
Schools in Nigeria have different entry requirements, so make sure you meet these before you apply. For example, in some schools the JAMB cut-off score is 200 and in some schools it is lower than 200. To avoid any complications, make sure you understand how the previous year's admissions process works.
5- Note how the University's screening points are calculated:
Most schools use O'level scores to screen candidates, while some use aptitude tests as their own screening method. This means that if your O'levels are very good, you're likely to do well if your chosen school uses only JAMB scores and O'levels to screen candidates
After explaining all of this, I hope you are now better able to make the right choice.
good luck..
